VSAT L-Band Satellite to Fiber Optic Transport Modules:Satcom L-Band Satellite Fiber Optic Transport Modules
Product Description
Overview
The FS****0 IFL transmits an
entire L-Band over single ode fiber from a satellite antenna LNB to
control room equipment up to *0 kilometers away while preserving
excellent signal quality. The FS****0 IFL consists of an optical
transmitter (***0T) which receives the L-Band signal from the LNB
and an optical receiver (***0R) which connects to a satellite
receiver. The FS****0 IFL is a broadband transmission link; all
standard satellite modulation formats can be transmitted
transparently (i.e. QPSK, FM, etc.).
The FS****0T and FS****0R modules
plug into the FS*****0 chassis, a 3U chassis/power supply, which
enables expansion of the system to accommodate up to 9 modules.
Accessories include the Model FS-AC*3U Power Supply, the Model
FS*****0 1:1 Redundant Switch, the model FS*****0 RF Amplifier, the
model FS*****0 RF Splitter.
The FS****0 IFL features both
Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Manual Gain Control (MGC). AGC at
transmitter site sets and maintains optimum operation over a wide
range of signal levels. At the receiver site AGC maintains
the RF level regardless of optical power or distance from the
transmission site. Front panel RF tests ports, LEDs, and back panel
monitors and alarms allow for complete system status monitoring and
for interfacing with monitor and control (M&C) systems.
Featuring a Multi-Quantum Well (MQW) laser diode, the FS****0 IFL
operates over a wide temperature range, without needing to be
cooled. The transmitter unit can provide optional LNB
powering.
